We see other people as physical bodies with mental lives, who circumvent obstacles, weigh the cost of acting against the rewards that these actions bring, and act with the intention to realize new states of the world. My research investigates the origins of these abilities in human infants, using behavioral measures (so far). In the Saxelab, I plan to study how infant brains support their learning and reasoning across tasks and domains.
